After-class tutoring which has swept the globe has been a hot topic to involve thousands of families. Although the research about after-class tutoring is gradually springing up, its themes and methods are still a field that can deeply been expanded. Because the tutoring has rapidly been developing, it must be a rising industry that can still be gained more money. In this paper, the author has recalled and sorted out the civil and foreign research literature on after-class tutoring by literature research, and interview eight after-class parties by qualitative research in Lanzhou. The authors has focused on interpretation of the connotations and denotations of after-class tutoring; and investigates status of family or its members choosing after-class tutoring; and mainly explore the impact factors of choosing after-class tutoring; and proposes some feasible policy proposals.This paper has been divided into four parts.The first part is about the introduction, including the origin, research problems, the study area, literature review.The second part is the research methods and the process of research. Qualitative research and literature research are been used in this article; the course of the research mainly includes the subject sampling, the field-entering, information collecting, information collating and the results of the research analyzing.The third part is the results of the research. The author has mainly introduced the tutoring situation of the choice or engages; the author has also dealt with the impact factors from after-class parties, significant others, the education system and so on. Among the impact factors, the factor which after-class parties is connected,including children can be divided into two sub-categories of ability and scores; the factor of parents is mainly about their educational experience. The factor which significant others is connected, including tutorial teachers and the advantage of their representative after-class tutoring.The factor which the education system is connected including textbooks, burden-decreasing ,school-choice and examination.The author has also talked about the validity of research results, generalization and research ethical issues.The fourth part is about policy proposals. Based on the facts reflected by students, parents and tutorial teachers, in the light of the views of other researchers, the author has put forward policy proposals, mainly includes investigating and dealing with "paid extra class ", rational treating"paid home-tutoring", improving the school education, properly respond to the educational needs of the people.
