Structure Of Discipine And Specialty Research Of Research Agricultural University

Agricultural Universities are important components of higher education which play an irreplaceable role in servicing agriculture, rural areas and farmers. After decades of efforts to develop, Higher Agricultural Education has formed a relatively complete system. Academic Agricultural Universities will be the development direction in the field. Training is the ultimate goal of Research Agricultural University, discipline and specialty is also the core of education. So, in-depth study of the structure of their professional discipline and specialties not only helps to enrich the relevant theories but also has an important practical significance on the construction of Research Agricultural University.The paper consists of three parts: First, it mainly analyzed the structure of their own professional discipline and specialties from the characteristics of the structure and influencing factors. Second, it arranged the development history of higher agricultural education in China, analyzed the discipline of our professional structure of agricultural universities at this stage, and summarize the problems we are facing. Third, it comparatively made an analysis of the "211 Project" in the six Agricultural Universities in the structure of the disciplines as well as a selective analysis of three typical agricultural universities at home and abroad. Basing on these studies, it offered some principle, giving priority to develop high-tech discipline and specialties, adhere to a high starting point for new discipline and specialties, relying on the existing strengths and foster cross-disciplines, making a balance between new and traditional ones. It also offered proposals to establishing scientifically structure of discipline and specialties. Relying on the existing strengths to develop relevant discipline and specialties, use the advantages and characteristics of cross-specialty, properly develop grammar categories of Discipline and specialties, broaden its meaning, improve the management system and operational mechanism, to clear its direction, assess system to enhance and expand the autonomy to set up specialty.The paper holds that the structure of discipline of Research Agricultural Universities is affected by many factors, however, they have their own rules as well. So, professional discipline and specialties of development and construction must meet the requirements of social development, which can show their own characteristics. Discipline and specialty has been an important issue during higher education reform and deveJopment. Although having made some successes, we must see that there were still many problems. To truly realize a scientific and rational structure of discipline and specialties, we must gain excellent professional development experience from foreign Research Agriculture University, to be more initiative, construct and improve the management mechanism, and strengthen its efforts to adjust professional structure of disciplines. Only in this way, we can construct our Research Agricultural Universities with Chinese characteristics.
