Research On The Construction And Evaluation Of Primary Talent Selection Index System Of High-jump Athletes In Shanghai

High-jump was an advantage sports event in Shanghai. There were some famous athletes like Zhu Jianhua, Liu Yunpeng, Yang Wenqin, Ju Shizhen, etc. Among them, Zhu Jianhua is the most outstanding one who has broken world records three times. However, in the past few years, the achievement of high-jump in Shanghai has been on the down grade. One reason is the failure in selecting athletes. As we know, scientific selecting, scientific training and scientific supervision are three prominent factors which restrict the enhancement of athletics level. And the former is the prerequisite of the latter two. In Shanghai, it has great pressure on selecting athletes, because of the lower population compared with other provinces, only one child in the family, and the poor health quality of teenagers in Shanghai. Therefore, the primary selection of athletes is the basis of the sustainable development of competitive sports in Shanghai.Twenty-eight high-jump coaches were investigated with questionnaires in this paper, the author makes an analysis of screening indicators on the impact of competitive capacity in high-jump. With the screening indicators for re-screening and categorization by experts interviewing, a primary talent selection index system has been constructed. In this system, it contains 20 indexes such as stature (predicated stature), Quitelet's index, lower limb length, specific lower limb length index, achilles tendon length, hemoglobin, nerological types, harmony of muscle, flexibility of body, etc. Then, it has a test on 79 line-3 high-jump athletes of 12 or 13 years old in Shanghai on the 17 indexes, and makes a Factor Analysis of 16 ones except nerological types testing. Consequently, it concludes five main factors which can help us to establish talent selection index system of line-3 high-jump athletes in Shanghai, namely, length, derivative, speed, jump, health, intellectual, and coach's evaluation. By means of the contribution rate of accumulative total of variance which establishes specific weights of seven Component and the 20 indexes. Finally, through the hundredth statistics, the paper makes a rule on independent and comprehensive assessment methods and standards along with the average grades and standard deviation in the test. And it works out suggestions on primary selection of high-jump athletes as well.In all, this study aims to provide a theoretical basis of scientific selection for high-jump coach and provide more and more excellent high-jump athletes for the higher line high-jump groups.
