The Application Of Marzano's New Taxonomy Of Education Objectives In Junior Inquiring Curriculum

The New Taxonomy of Education Objectives by the American scholar Marzano overcomes the shortcomings of the other education objectives, such as Bloom's Taxonomy. The New Taxonomy of Education Objectives is more effective than the others on guiding the practices on the class of cultivating high-order thinking skills, and may be referenced by the practices guiding with Three-dimensional Objective Taxonomy. In the New Taxonomy of Education Objectives, Self-system and Metacognitive system is proposed as independent systems, and are put on the important position. Self-system and Metacognitive system play an important role in the protection and monitoring of the classroom activities, in which the high-order thinking skills are trained and developed.In the research, with the guiding of The New Taxonomy of Education Objectives of Marzano,the arthor designs the Information inquiring curriculum of CCAL. We put the curriculum into practice in order to develop the self-regulating skills of the first graders in the self-inquiring classroom. The main contents include the followings:First, I concluds the problems in the theories and practices of the taxonomy of education objectives home and abroad with literature analysis.Second, I analyzes the superiors of The New Taxonomy of Education Objectives on classroom practices, and designs curriculum implementation plan with it's guiding.Third, I put the curriculum into the practice of the Information inquiring curriculum of CCAL. And Metacognitive system as an example is used for assessment, in order to prove the effect of The New Taxonomy of Education Objectives on guiding the classroom practice of developping the self-regulating skills of the first graders.Finally, I Summarizes the results and contributions of research, and proposes the problems and the vista of the research.
