China is one of the ninth largest of illiterates in the world, whose population is the largest. According to the National Bureau of Statistics 2009, one-thousandth of the population sample survey, 15-50 year old population occupied more than 68 million illiterates, and above 15 aged illiterate populations occupied 105.04 million. Faced with such a large illiterate population and the current literacy education is facing new changes, therefore, we should sharply enhance literacy educational research at this stage. This research project is one of the sub-topics which commissioned by the Ministry of Education. Therefore, it has an important theoretical and practical value, not only the deepening of the research topics of literacy education theory, but also improves literacy education.Based on the reality of literacy education in China, these study completely analysis present situation and problems of literacy education both at home and abroad with literature methods. Through field surveys, interviews with illiterate students and teachers, etc, we can generally know the problems and difficulties of literacy education. On this basis, through analyzing the successful and failed cases of literacy education in some zones; and combined with theoretical learning needs of adult illiteracy and foreign liberation educational theory. More then, Lined with our own experiences, we will propose the related countermeasures and suggestions so that further develop our current literacy education.This article focuses on investigating path of reform and development of China current literacy education from the following seven aspects.Partâ… :Introduction. Through documentary analysis, on the domestic and foreign publications, journals and other sort of literature, this paper analyzes the status of literacy education, the problems and shortcomings in both at home and abroad. On this basis, it explore the integration of literacy and practical skills training, community learning centers and community resource utilization, family literacy education, resource development, information and communication technology (ICT) means the use of literacy and other channels and their corresponding requirements.Partâ…¢:To rely on or create a rural community learning centers for literacy education means. Through investigations and interviews, and analyzed in the full establishment of community learning centers based on the necessity and feasibility, this paper proposes to create a Learning environment, improving family, school and community education resource utilization, construction of open places illiterate trainees and other related countermeasures.Partâ…£:It focuses on the trainees'family environment to carry out the literacy education.
