The general goal of Chinese current basic education reform is to train and improve students'scientific accomplishment, while the STSE (Science, Technology, Society and Environment) Education is an effective approach and way to meet this target. In the newest chemistry curriculum standards, it is stating that chemistry curriculum should help students to understand chemestry's function to social development, and to realize scientific, technical, social and other related issures in our daily life from chemical perspective. Then, students can exert chemical knowledge and means to control environmental pollutions. Under such guidence, besides subject knowledge, the content of new textbook is covered with technical, life and environmental knoledge that relate to chemistry. Certainly, the reform asks for better chemical curriculum resources. However, it's hard for underdeveloped rural middle schools to meet such high requirement, as existing curriculum resources are limited. Therefore, it's really necessary to develop suitable STSE chemical curriculum resources which is based on local distinctive natural and cultural resources and closely linked with textbook.Based on domestic and overseas research about STSE education and the characteristics of chemistry, the thesis defines CTSE (Chemistry, Technology, Society and Environment) education and CTSE curriculum resources. CTSE is a kind of content-oriented curriculum resource, which is divede into four types:subject-based curriculum resources, production technology-based curriculum resources, social life-based curriculum resources and environment protection-based curriculum resources. Ground on the core concept and categories, the thesis first analyses the revelance between current textbook used in rural middle school and CTSE education, then the author found that the textbook has similar content with CTSE education from three dimensions:setting of learning objects, choice of content and design of feture culumn. Next, the author did an inquiry among teachers and students in rural middle school by questionnaire, in order to get information about the popularization of STSE education, the situation of existing curriculum resources and the potentiality and resistance of developping CTSE curriculum resources. The result shows that teachers know STSE, but not enough; and text curriculum resources are mojor style; while online ones are much less. The result also reveals that teachers and students have potentiality to develp CTSE curriculum resources, but less funding and security of students are main difficulties. Finally, the thesis indicated the principles of CTSE curriculum resouces developments:educational principle, specific principle, the principle of locality and the principle of participation, and developped some cases with these principals, which includes those four types of curriculum resources mentioned above.
