As the advent of the new century and the gradual advancement of the reform of new curriculum, the history education of the high school has been faced with new challenges. Goal qualification, structure diversification, management flexibility and quality humanity have become the goals of the new reform of history curriculum. Based on the above background, this paper mainly probes into the education of local history in the high school influenced by Quanzhou regional culture. Quanzhou is a famous historical city with specific regional culture, which is not only the melting area of multi-cultures, but also the typical place of oceanic culture, and the derivation of foreign cultures as well. Quanzhou studies have also exerted certain degree on Quanzhou history and culture. However , Quanzhou high-schoolers do not know much about, tell difference from or misunderstand of the local historical culture and its value. Thus, it would show great significance to carry out the education of local history in the high school. According to the theory of Curriculum Resources, the author classifies and integrates the curriculum resources of Quanzhou history, finding that the distribution of resources of Quanzhou local history embodied in the three required history textbooks of Yuelu Publisher is unbalanced, but the knowledge of local history which can be combined with history education in the high school is of great abundance. On the basis of studies above and the situations of the school and the students, present paper makes a conclusion about a serial of teaching forms and methods which can be operated combined with the curriculum standards. That is as follows: Firstly, a curriculum design for local history education, that is, to complement local history to national universal textbook or carry out independent teaching with local and school's own textbooks; Secondly, a activity design for local history education, that is, carry out in-school activities of local history based on the textbook or out-school activities to cultivate students' probing and practicing abilities based on local history; thirdly, a subject design for local history education, that is, establish supplemental textbook of subjects helping students understand and master the historical knowledge required by the curriculum standard or extensive textbook of subjects to make better the short of national curriculum and realize the teaching system of local history education. With the methods found, three principles should be followed for the education of local history in the high school: firstly, pay attention to the relation of the part and the whole when choosing the content for local history; secondly, embody the principle of praise and criticism understanding the value of local culture; lastly, embody the principle of looking back and forward fixing the teaching aims of local history education. Because of the recent beginning of curriculum reform in Quanzhou influenced by objective and subjective elements, the local history education in the high school would be carried out more comprehensively and effectively only with perfecting the guarantee system, improving teachers' quality, perfecting the evaluation system and improving the technology skill.
