Social interaction is one of the major life issues to the college students. Under the different times and the different backgrounds, the social interaction of college students demonstrates the different forms and characteristics. With the rapid development of network technology, the college students have coerced into the new information space-time, which has a profound impact on the social interaction behaviors of university students.Face to face interpersonal communication is the traditional characteristics of social interaction, but this element will be gradually relieved of network interaction of university. In the Internet Age, whether the subject contact with each other to see has become irrelevant, similar to the appearance, facial expressions, tone of voice, behavior and other non-verbal symbols in the contacts gradually retreated behind the scenes, intermediary to contact between the subject will be more visibility symbols, supplemented by video or voice tools, the network interaction has become an important form of social interaction of college students.Sociometry is a learning to study social relations, has the character of easy to design and implementation, quantitative analysis, it is especially suitable for small group research. In light of the increasingly extensive network contacts of university students, which is an emerging field , through the perspective of sociometry to study specifically the behaviors, interaction characteristics of university students group in the virtual space, to carry out systematic investigations and studies and theoretical analysis has important theoretical value and practical significance. On one hand this paper explores the characteristics and type of network interaction behavior of young college students through the literature methods, on the other hand, based on the understanding of the network interaction behavior of college students, to build a more general theoretical model of the network interaction and to conduct empirical analysis. The major research method is literature analysis, comparative research method, case research method, statistical analysis, the social matrix method, etc.In the first, the paper states definitely the origins and current academic progress of sociometry, based on possession of a large number of literature, as well as the reality of the network communication of college students, and secondly, from the ability quotient evolution of a psychological measurement theory put forward the importance of relationship management; third, this paper studies the five characteristics, three types ,nine kinds of the network contacts of college students in detail; the last , this paper conducts a case study on virtual learning community of network relations of college students, further, continues a three levels of modeling such as comprehensive network, individual network, local area network of network contacts, and use the theory and methods of questionnaire to investigate the social interaction situation of the students, analyze the contacts and relations of university class. The principal innovation of this paper: one, using SPSS, Ucinet, Pajek and other computer software tools for empirical studies on the relationship between social networks, through visual graphics output, to grasp the essence of the overall trend of college students interaction; Second, to analyze the interpersonal characteristics and approach of college students under the network conditions ,and grasp the specific ways of the students interaction ,fully to understand the complexity and diversity of network contacts between students; third, using the latest achievements of sociometry to apply to the network relationship, from the points and face, outside to the inside, to elaborate network interaction model between the students which is controllable.
