In recent years, with the steady deepening of the education reform and the constant promotion of quality education, from students to parents, even the government and society, teachers—as a highly-concerned group, are required to be "perfect"and "almighty". The expectations and demandings to them are becoming higher and higher. They are facing with the dual challenges: exam-oriented education, as well as quality education, and also enduring various kinds of pressure. Therefore teachers' health problems are increasing emergently, which is particularly prominent among the middle-school teachers. In the perspective of the scientific development, to attach the attention of the health and physical status of them, to encourage them to enhance health awareness, to strengthen scientific and reasonable exercise, and to ensure them to improve the condition of health quality, are all of great significance to the establishment of a comprehensive team of teachers. In this study, I use different methods, such as: documentary analysis, expert interviews, questionnaire survey, logical analysis and mathematical statistics. First of all, I investigated the status of physical exercise of middle-school teachers in Ningbo, which mainly include the purpose, content, frequency strength of physical exercise. as well as the analysis of the factors that affect middle-school teachers to participate in physical activities. Secondly, I conducted a survey of the health status among middle-school teachers in Ningbo, including diseases occuring, health self-test, living habits and the influence factors of the middle-school teachers' health. Finally, I analyzed the relations between health conditions and the physical activities of middle-school teachers in Ningbo. The results show that: (1) The number of the middle-school teachers in Ningbo who are intended to take part in the physical exercise is fairly big. Their exercise motivations are full of diversit, but there exists a gap among men, women and all age groups. To strengthen physical health is everyone's consensus, but the population of the teachers who want to go in for sports is relatively small. (2) There are many choices of training for middle-school teachers in Ningbo, mainly including fitness walking, ball games, long-distance running, etc. Exercise period is mostly in the evening and morning. The forms of training are usually exercising with colleagues, friends, or alone. The training venues are mainly at schools, in public sports venues, residential district gym etc. (3) The subjective factors that impact physical training for middle-school teachers in Ningbo are mainly poor willpower and little perseverance. The following are the objective factors: no time, no energy, much pressure and lack of organization and guidance. (4) Middle-school teachers in Ningbo have meals regularly, however, they take unreasonable dietary patterns, and the sleeping quality is also poor. The proportion of them who smoke is not very high, but passive smoking is higher. (5) The body shape of middle-school teachers in Ningbo is acceptable, but there are significant differences between men and women. The risks of disease are mainlycervical and lumbar spine disease, digestive diseases, respiratory diseases, etc,The behavioral factors that affect teachers' health are mostly unreasonable dietary patterns, lack of physical exercise and sleeping poorly. (6) The health level of sports and non-sports population of middle-school teachers in Ningbo are significantly different, which is mainly expressed in the following contrast: the total average score of physical health of the population sub-scale is greatly higher than that of the non-sports people. There is no significant differences between sports and arthritis, besides, there is great differences between sports and other diseases, especially for cardiovascular disease.Suggestions: (1) Make greater efforts to intensify publicity, education and supervision. (2) Strengthen the organization functions of schools. (3) Create lenient workingenvironment to let the teachers have enough time and energy for physical activities. (4) Organize regular physical monitoring and the establishment of health records.(5) Raise awareness of school leaders and link the teachers' physical exercise and health condition to leader's appraisement.
