It is obvious that the state language courses in vocational education is emphasized by Ministry of Education from "secondary vocational schools, language teaching program" in 2009. However, Considering teaching situation from the current language education in secondary vocational schools and language attitude from socialaspects, especially the reading ability of students can not be optimistic, which directly affect the students' understanding and application to professional knowledge. It is not conducive to the long-term development of the secondary vocational education.The base of common culture and education is an important factor that impacts on the extent of the social civilization, the degree of harmony and the social stability. In secondary vocational education system, "language" as a "public" and "compulsory" cultural foundation courses, is the level for the students to form "learning ability and cultivate aesthetic taste, to learn interpersonal relationships, to improve human quality and improve the basic literacy of the job, which is playing a founding role for the students in continuing learning and lifelong development." Reading ability is an important indicator to determine the level of language literacy of the students. Improving reading skills of the students is not only the most fundamental expression to improve the value and role of teaching, but also the starting point and destination on Teaching of Reading.Through the language teaching staff to improve students' reading ability in research and exploration, the author tries to seek the theoretical basis for our current reading of the secondary vocational schools to improve Chinese reading instruction in secondary vocational school and "attract valuable comments" to improve language teaching research inadequate with a view to improve the teaching of Chinese reading level.In this paper, it mainly uses literature, questionnaire survey method, the narrative method and action research method, reflects on the teaching practice, analyzes the reasons for the status of the incumbent language reading teaching, clears the significance to improve the reading ability level by combing with the functional language in the national curriculum standards and the Shanghai Vocational interpretation of the language curriculum standards. On this basis, the author explores the teaching of Chinese reading level in the face of the Quartet: stimulating interest in reading, strengthening reading method, focusing on text-reading and recording reading sentiment, aiming at improving the reading ability in vocational students, paving the way for the future employment of the students, laying a solid foundation for the students' life-long learning and sustainable development.This Paper consists of three parts: the first part is about the impact on the improvement of the vocational students' reading ability; the second part is on the exploration of methods to improve students' reading ability in language teaching; the third section summarizes the effect of the implementation and the reflection.
