Teachers are the key factors that enable the curriculum reform to be carried on smoothly. While the adaption of the political teachers in the Second Curriculum Innovation (SCI) influences the development of the reform directly.This research takes senior high school political teachers in Shanghai ZB District as the study object. The questionnaires and the interviews of it covers seven aspects. They are: the acceptance of the teachers to the idea of the SCI, the degree of teachers' adaptation to the teaching materials of the SCI, the status of teachers'self-development needs and the professional development, teachers' recognition of the trainings about the SCI, teachers' understanding level to the status of senior high school political courses, to their own status and to the condition of the realities. By analysing the data and statistics from these questionnaires and interviews, the research deduces the condition of the adaptation of the senior high school teachers in ZB District in the SCI and gets the causes of it. Combining with the literature methods, this research also proposes strategies to promote senior high school political teachers' adaptability.This research studies the condition of the senior high school political teachers'adaptation to the SCI. The results are as follows:First, the research reveals the adaptation status of senior high school political teachers in ZB District to the SCI.It shows that teachers'acceptance to the SCI is not high, nor is the degree of teachers'adaptation to the teaching material of the SCI;The status of the professional development of teachers is not very good;The degree of the teachers'recognition of the trainings about the SCI is not high; Teachers'understanding degree to the status of senior high school political lesson, to teachers'own status as well as to the condition of the realities are not high.Second, the research reveals the factors promoting teachers to adapt to the SCI and those preventing ing teachers adapting to the SCI.This research finds out that the increase in students'activities and teachers'pointed research activities can impel teachers to adapt to the SCL. The factors that prevent teachers from adapting to the SCI are the imperfection of the teaching material system and the teaching content, teachers'dejected psychologic status and their lagging views, teachers'qualities which are needed to be improved and their cooperations which are less effective, the evaluation system that needs to be reformed, the present training system and exam system.Third, this research puts forward the strategies to promote senior high school political teachers' adaptability.On the basis of Shanghai ZB District senior high school political teachers'adaptation condition in the SCI, this research proposes strategies to promote senior high school political teachers' adaptability. They are: City Board of Education should set up the evaluation system of senior high school political studies and a platform between the writers of the teaching material and the teachers; District Education Bureau should establish the cooperation mode of teaching and research activity between universities and senior high schools, organize the communication between different schools; Schools should add moral education inspection project to senior high school political teachers' achievement inspection.In addition, this paper defines these strategies according to the strategy content and the conditions for the implementation of the strategies, and it puts forward more concrete implementation proposals.
