As a new curriculum,General Technology has great differences from other curriculums. Thus,in the teaching process of the general technology curriculum, teachers should adopt the teaching methods and modes according to the characteristics and requirements of the curriculum. However,there are still some problems in reality. Some teachers adopt the conventional teaching method which is to repeat what the book says,and others implement teaching with a handwork pattern which is often adopted in the work-technic training. Although teaching tasks can be completed successfully,it does not follow the guiding principle of the curriculum standard very well. As a result,the students will not have enough motivation and experience of learning the curriculum,which will lead to the lack of enthusiasm and not even form skills.In the teaching process of the general technology,utilizing the task-driving teaching mode reasonably can urge the students to think and study according to the given task actively in limited time. Then,with their technical knowledge,skills and unique experience,students propose the hypotheses and plans according to the understanding of questions,their emotion and tasks given. In the process of completing the task,the students will think about the technology more thoroughly, and form the technical thought gradually. Compared with the traditional teaching mode,the task-driving teaching mode could help the teachers implement their teaching goals clearly,teach the students to their own strengths,and achieve the goal of Personalized Teaching and Different Leveled Teaching easily. Moreover,it is helpful to arouse students'enthusiasm,cultivate the abilities of independent learning and solving problems with their knowledge,and even the teamwork spirit.This dissertation,which is divided into five parts,has a study of the application of the task-driving teaching mode in the general technology class.Part I: It introduces the research background,its significance,the present research situation at home and abroad,the research content and methods.Part II: It probes the elementary theory of the task-driving teaching mode, which includes the origin,the characteristics,the connotation,the rationale,and the teaching process of the task-driving teaching mode.Part III: It analyzes the theory of the task-driving teaching mode in the general technology teaching which includes the nature and characteristics of the general technology teaching,the principles of teaching designing,the process of the teaching designing,and the process of the implementation.Part IV: It shows the teaching experiments of the task-driving teaching mode in the general technology teaching. It introduces the basic theory of the teaching designing according to one of the chapters,analyzes the present study situation of high school students,and shows the teaching process and the students'feedback and so on. In the end of this part,it summarizes the application effect of this teaching mode. In the teaching experiment,a summary is given according to the comparison of two classes by means of students'questionnaire,communication with class teachers, and a survey of their parents. It has confirmed that this teaching mode and strategy can enhance the students'interests in their study and develop their inquiring abilities effectively,which has positive influence on their study.Part V: It is the reflection and prospect of the task-driving teaching mode in the general technology teaching,which draws a conclusion according to the summary and raises the problems that should be researched in the future.
