General technology curriculum is a new curriculum, in order to improve students' technological quality. Traditional teaching methods such as, verbatim reading items according to the book, are not only unsuitable for general technology's characters, but also far away from the guiding ideology of general technology in curriculum standard. Using task-driving teaching method into teaching general technology, the teacher chooses different curriculum carrier elaborately, designs the teaching aim into certain task, and directs the students learning knowledge, broadening thinking, communicating and cooperating with others, in the process of finishing the task. In such a way, it enriches the curriculum carrier of general technology, as well as improves teachers' teaching skills. Meanwhile, students improve their technological quality by operational practice.This dissertation can be divided into four parts. PartⅠ:It introduces the research background, its significance, the present research situation at home and abroad, the research content and methods. PartⅡ:It probes the elementary theory of the task-driving teaching methods in general technology curriculum, which includes the connotation of task, the characteristic of the task, and the compatible things between task-driving teaching method and general technology. When using task-driving teaching method, it is crucial to design the tasks. Successful tasks should possess the characters of scientific, situational and driving abilities. PartⅢ:It is the analysis of an instructional experiment basic on the task-driving teaching method in general technology. On basis of the instructional content the evaluation of design, it considers elements related with teaching process, makes an instructional design by the viewpoint of the task-driving teaching method, practices the instructional design into class, and summarizes the teaching effect by the feedback from every segment. PartⅣ: It is the reflection and prospect of the task-driving teaching method in the general technology teaching, the reflection includes an effectual task design can arouse students'positiveness and initiative, can promote students' comprehensive abilities, can accelerate the development of teachers'teaching skills, be helpful to diversity the development of curriculum supporter in general technology. And then offer two advices, it is crucial to design and transit the tasks, give students enough space.
