With the development of online education in China, various challenges of web course design and development appeared, such as web course equivalent to courseware, emphasizing on instruction design but visual design, single performance form, lack of learning activity design and learning resources support and so on. To solve these problems, studying related theory deeply and researching extensive literature and online course, combining with the author's own participation in online course , the author proposes many methods and strategies about online course design, such as course introduction design, content visual design, advance organizer strategies, context creation strategies, learning evaluation design, curriculum resources design, art design, using online courses which have been developed in professional development of teachers in Shang Hai rural area program, theory with reality, looking forward to enhance the quality of online courses and improving efficiency after learning online course.
