The rapid development of science and technology of today's knowledge-based economy, a large number of new technologies, new knowledge and new theories permeate the field of physical education. Therefore, a one-time higher professional education obviously can not meet the needs of the long-term physical education. Therefore, physical education teachers should receive continuing education, physical education teachers to promote personal development to meet the social, political, economic, educational and sports development. Middle School physical education teachers to participate in continuing education is a life-long education requirement is the need to effectively improve the quality of teachers is the professionalization of teachers inevitable trend of development is to build a high-quality faculty is to promote quality education, to fully implement the new curriculum the reform of the basic guarantee.The subjects used in the literature and data, questionnaire, interview, mathematical statistics, logic, scientific method of comparative analysis of law, to cities in Shandong Province City Middle School physical education teachers as a study. Described the theoretical basis of this study are summarized continuing education of teachers at home and abroad of the status and development trend of the concepts of this study has defined the city through the investigation to understand City, Shandong Province, the overall structure of secondary school physical education teacher characteristics, the status of continuing education and teacher expectations, continuing education school teachers in different parts of the case, different disciplines, continuing education of teachers and so on, and then on the promotion of cities in Shandong Province, City Middle School physical education teachers continuing education recommendations.This study concluded that:Shandong Province city city structural characteristics of secondary school physical education teachers a more reasonable; half of the teachers think that update their knowledge in technology, teaching the concept of class cutting-edge knowledge, education classes have a lack of knowledge; English and scientific research level is not high Most teachers can master the basic operation of computers; the majority of schools set up policies and regulations related to continuing education system, but there are a small number of schools have not yet implemented; the majority of teachers have participated in continuing education, continuing education between regions there was no significant differences; continuing education form, content basically rational, but some of the content and teaching methods and expectations of distance; evaluation mechanisms and incentive mechanisms are not perfect.Cities City of Shandong Province for the current school physical education teachers continuing education status and the problems raised about recommendations:to further improve the continuing education policies and regulations, to promote the growth of physical education teachers; strengthen supervision and management to ensure the continuing education standards, high-quality implementation; the continuing education funding to establish an effective security system; to diversify the form of continuing education, physical education teachers to meet the continuing education needs; focus on continuing education courses in systematic, continuous, level, direction, flexibility, physical education teachers to meet the different requirements; to construct a reasonable continuing education evaluation system and improve the incentive mechanism; training and continuing education to develop an excellent teaching staff.
