Through access to literature, the relevant concept and connotation were definited, the continuing education status and trends of research about the secondary school physical education teachers were summarized; also described the theoretical basis of this study and the social basis of the background.Through the systematic investigation on the basic characteristics of the secondary school physical education teachers in shandong, and the continuing education's system and objectives, the organization and management conditions, the training type and model, the implementation about teaching, teacher and mechanism status, to parse the problems in the continuing education system, to explore the effective countermeasures which would promot the continuing education's developpment of the school physical education teachers in Shandong Province.This study concluded that:The school physical education teachers'overall structure is basically rational, but a wide range of quantity, quality uneven, There is a negative participation and the concepts is behind the leading dislocation of continuing education awareness.
