The face of the situation of the era, economic globalization, information networking, and rapid updating of knowledge, rapid development in the field of science and technology. The practice and effectiveness of physical education teachers'continuing education who are in secondary school is relationship with themselives'promotion and development, the basic education curriculum reform' success or no, and the next generation'healthy growth in the country. Shandong Province as the country's excellent province on economic, educational and sports, should be very promising in the continuing education working of the secondary school physical education teachers in the further.Faced with a new five-year period 2009-2013, this study explores the rational development countermeasures with the continuing education of physical education teachers in secondary school in Shandong Province, based on systematically understand and summary the current situation, and in-depth analysis of the problem. All is aim at putting right the location of the continuing education about Secondary school physical education teachers in our province; promotting its comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development; exploring and constructing a continuing education of physical education teachers in secondary school witch is in line with characteristics of Shandong.In this study, take the secondary school physical education teachers in Shandong Province as the object of study, and use some mathods include literature and data, questionnaire, interview, mathematical statistics, logic, comparative analysis, and other research methods. Through access to literature, the relevant concept and connotation were definited, the continuing education status and trends of research about the secondary school physical education teachers were summarized; also described the theoretical basis of this study and the social basis of the background.Through the systematic investigation on the basic characteristics of the secondary school physical education teachers in shandong, and the continuing education's system and objectives, the organization and management conditions, the training type and model, the implementation about teaching, teacher and mechanism status, to parse the problems in the continuing education system, to explore the effective countermeasures which would promot the continuing education's developpment of the school physical education teachers in Shandong Province.This study concluded that:The school physical education teachers'overall structure is basically rational, but a wide range of quantity, quality uneven, There is a negative participation and the concepts is behind the leading dislocation of continuing education awareness. All that make the full training's difficult is raising. Continue education's target mainly on his ability and the criteria for standard, the school physical education teachers'confidence and self identification of the building and encouraged is missing. Continuing education system is not perfect, should strengthen and improve the management. Section of the existence of the block, and leadership to be strengthened. non-curricula education initiative on small and just, the effect is marginal; academic study not strict. Failure of school-based training, the new remote with the old management. Curriculum structure is irrational, biased curriculum, practical value is small. The lack of systematic training of trainers, teachers can not meet the requirements. Urgent need to improve the integration mechanisms, market-based mechanism should to be open.According to the exist probloms in Shandong Province's continuing education of the school physical education teachers, make the following responses: The concept of continuing education should to be rebuild and to reconstruct continuing education goals. Improve the details of continuing education's system to ensure the effective implementation of it. Reduce administrative level, the implementation of government affairs. Full training a clear idea of the quality of secondary school physical education teachers into the professional life. To enhance secondary physical education teachers in curriculum and teaching of participation, reflection, dialogue and action. Standarding training of trainers, strengthening infrastructure and institution building. Secondary school physical education teachers are recommended the establishment of the joint professional organizations.
