Science Education Major is an inevitable requirement of Curriculum Reform in the new situation. Its rapid development has brought many problems. This paper investigates on its Required Course Materials built on the professional development. Firstly, the paper investigates the use of compulsory course materials for China's Science Education Major through the Internet, questionnaires, telephone and other means. The survey covered 14 provinces and cities throughout the country, including Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Zhejiang, Fujian, Shanghai, Hubei, Shanxi, Jilin, Gansu, Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong and Shanxi. Based on this, the second is to analysis and compare the main textbooks among three major areas (material science, life science, earth, the universe and space science) in "science curriculum standards". The results of the study obtained are listed as following:1) There are many kinds of compulsory course materials used in Science Education Major, but it is relatively concentrated; Individual institutions not only use the discipline-based teaching textbooks, but also use their branches of teaching textbooks; Some disciplines have no fixed textbooks, such as astronomy.2) Physics textbooks focused on "General Physics" and "Physics". Among them, "General Physics" covers 20 items, accounting for 52.6% of the total; "Physics" covers 18 items, accounting for 47.4%.3) Chemistry textbooks focused on "College Chemistry", "General Chemistry", "Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry" and "Organic Chemistry". Among them, "College Chemistry" covers 28 items, accounting for 47.5% of the total; "General Chemistry" covers 32 items, accounting for 54.2%; "Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry" covers 25 items, accounting for 42.4%.4) Categories of biological textbooks focused on "General Biology", "Plant Biology" and "Animal Biology". Among them, "General Biology" covers 49 items, accounting for 61.3% of the total; "Plant Biology " and "Animal Biology" covers 34 items, accounting for 42.5%.5) Astronomical geography textbooks focused on "Physical Geography". It covers 34 items, accounting for 66.7%.
