As the national experimental area, Zhejiang Province has started the basic education curriculum reform in the round and opened all courses. Junior Science is a comprehensive course which goes across physics, chemistry, biology and natural geography. So naturally , it becomes the center. Focusing on the science teachers'major adaptation and how to promote their major development becomes the urgent need of new basic education curriculum reform. This thesis interprets the practice of Science subject with the practicer's words system and elaborates the theoretical and practical topics of the reform in a unique way. Though it just involves in part of Wenzhou junior middle schools, the problems and puzzlements mentioned above will be the same in the related schools. Thus we can get a lot of enlightenments from it.Based on the teachers'personal information, the structure of teachers'professional quality and teaching resources in the school, the research investigates the teachers'adaptation level, adaptation rate and the advantages and problems during the adaptation. Besides, the research also focuses on teachers'value orientation on the comprehensive curriculum, teachers'knowledge and the advantages and disadvantages of the comprehensive course and single course, together with their key points and difficulties. After the research, it's found that most of the science teachers in Junior School have accepted the new curriculum reform and set up new teaching ideas and methods. Their ability has been improved greatly. However, they also face the challenge of role change and it's difficult for them to improve their research ability quickly and construct the structure of the knowledge. All these problems become the main factor of restraining their major development.This thesis consists of five parts: Introduction, Theory Analysis, Survey on the Current Situation, Research, Conclusion and Advice. And it adopts the methods of document analysis, survey and interviews. First, I inspect the science teachers'present situation of major adaptation at home and abroad and analyze the material carefully. Then do the survey and interview with the direction of the theoretical analysis, after which I analyze the major development of the science teachers of Junior School and its cause. At last, according to the results of survey and interview and the analysis, I put forward some strategies to promote the science teachers'major development from the aspect of teacher, the department in charge of education and the school.
