Facing the new era, the new situation and new challenges, sports disciplines need to actively explore training model of innovative talents, and to constantly improve the training system for high-level talents. Each of the assessment activities promoted by the Ministry of Education, as well as the examination and approval of authorised points of master or doctor degree, almost all deal with the number of the school's students and majors, which greatly promote the development of graduate educationof the sports disciplines. So far, the sports colleges, normal universities and Comprehensive universities which had undergraduate sports majors before have set up postgraduate education of sports science. There are also 30 colleges and universities which didn't have undergraduate sports majors have established postgraduate education of sports disciplines.With the continuous expanding of the scale of China's sports science graduate students, especially with the rising of sports post-graduate training of ordinary colleges and universities, how to improve the machanism and quality of sports post-graduate training of ordinary colleges and universities, is the key issue of the healthy development of sports post-graduate education of these colleges and universities. This research follows the basic ideas of "taking the sports post-graduate training quality of ordinary colleges and universities in Beijing as the entry point, based on analysis of the status quo, building theoretical basis for sports post-graduate training of ordinary colleges and universities and providing specific measures for the reform of the training mode of the sports post-graduate training of ordinary colleges and universities", and draws the following conclusions:(1) Through questionnaires and interviews, found the main issues of sports post-graduate training of ordinary colleges and universities are:①Not reasonable enough curriculum setup. Quantify of the curriculum is not enough, more emphasize on the research side of less reflect the cutting-edge aspects, etc., has severely constrained the improvement of the level of knowledge, adaptability and response capabilities of post-graduate students of ordinary colleges and universities.② Outdated teaching methods and single teaching contents could not meet the graduate students'needs of knowledge.③Not enough guidance from the instructors, mainly dues to the lack of teachers and the limitation of the instructors'ability.④Over-centralized management. While recognising the importance of standardized management, stresses similarities, and neglects personality.⑤Lack of scientific research training. Scientific research is an important means of training graduate students, in reality however, the ignorance of research training and capacity-building for graduate students is a widespread phenomenon.(2) Through interviews with experts, summarized the strengths and weaknesses of sports post-graduate training of ordinary colleges and universities. The strengths are mainly reflected in:resources, subjects, culture environment, internship opportunities; The weaknesses are mainly reflected in:the hardware facilities, professional theory teachers and research level.(3) Proposed that sports post-graduate training of ordinary colleges and universities should grasp the essence, i.e. the elite, and professional and exploratory. Meanwhile, pointed out that sports post-graduate training of ordinary colleges and universities should be targeted at below three aspects:adapt to physical and mental development of individual personality characteristics of each student; in line with the internal logic of the development of advanced knowledge; to meet the reasonable requirements of social development.(4) The writer expatiated suggestions for ways of improving the quality of sports post-graduate training of ordinary colleges and universities in three aspects:attach same importance to curriculum teaching and scientific research;clarify the responsibility of instructors, and strengthen the team-building; strengthen academic communications, and create a creative atmosphere.
