It is decided to train 10,000 directional primary school teachers freely for rural areas by Hunan province goverment in 2006, recruiting junior school graduates and taking the form of five-year system, in order to solve the unbalanced age structure and unstable teacher troop of primary school teachers in remote rural areas. Other provinces in China, such as Jiangxi, Jiangsu,have the similar freely training plan for targeted teachers of countryside, who also enroll least from middle school and take the form of five-year system. The five-year primary education major first appeared in 1980s, but with the form transition of teacher education, once encountered the survival crisis. Government's vigorously supporting policy has provided a new opportunity for the development of five-year primary education major, this training pattern which meets the current demanding for primary school teachers in the remote and backward rural areas has obtained the Ministry of Education's affirmation. The key to the subject of five-year primary education development is the curriculum development. This article has a systematic research on the professional curriculum of the five-year primary education, using literature, interviews and other research methods.The present paper has mainly carried on a detailed elaboration on the reasons for selecting the topic of the paper, the research significance,the research summary,the research object and the research methods, the reseach contents and theoretical foundation.Then the author analyze the professional training goals, its influencing factors, and the basic qualities that the five-year professional students should have. Next the author puts forward new ideas about how to improve the curriculum development of five-year primary education,illustrated by the case of two schools in Hunan province.We should develop the curriculum follow the students's distinguishing features and the training goal's demanding.Finally, it's discussed the implementation safeguards of the five-year professional curriculum design of primary education, curriculum implementation requires the external policy, funding and material security, and the building of an internal team of teachers, teaching materials, education and practice base construction for protection.
