In today's competitive era of knowledge economy, the comprehensive implementation and national improvement of quality education has become the basic responsibility of education. Primary Chinese teaching,as a basic tool in the quality education, ought to undertake the responsibility of training talents in the new century.With the deepening of Basic education curriculum reform in Chinese schools, the students' main status has been changed to a very high position, the position and role of the teachers has been changed obviously.In the elementary educational reform practice, the leadership skills of the teachers and determination of the students creates a progressive and symbiotic relationship, the two sides should develop harmoniously. The function of teachers'guidance is undeniable in the elementary education stage, therefore, we can't neglect teachers'leading role in particular.Reading is one of the most important parts in the elementary school language teaching. the new curriculum standard to the language teaching has put forward many careful proposals and the specific request about the teachers'responsibility and duty in the Chinese teaching including reading.In the practice of teaching reading, how to fulfill the teacher's leading role, to develop the students' reading ability, to cultivate the students' integrated language skills, to promote the development of the students' individuality is very significant in the implement of the students'subject status..In the course of the new curriculum in Chinese reading teaching in class, the teacher's leading role are reflected in three aspects:1. motivating students to learn Chinese,getting them interested in Chinese language, and keeping their learning passion in Chinese.2. the guidance of learning Chinese, cultivating the correct study attitude and the good study habits, which is to make students learn how to learn,3. Guiding the students to acquire knowledge actively, ability, which is to make the students use the language freely and correctly.So in the background of the new curriculum in Chinese reading class, how can teachers act the role of good organizers, guides, participants, and partners? how can teachers accomplish the task of guidance in their teaching? how can teachers take effective measures to develop their reading skills? All these questions will be discussed in my thesis by combining theory and practice.
