Along with the knowledge economy and the learning society's arrival, facing the information and communication technology's renewal, teachers are not only entrusted with a higher responsibilities and expectations, but also undertaken a greater work stress. As a result of the time request, in order to change the traditional exam-oriented education model and develop and promote quality education, our country since 2004 has began to carry out the New Round Curriculum Reform of the Basic Education in high school. Until now 5 years has gone, the promotion and the implementation of the New Curriculum Reform has brought the new vitality and opportunity for school reform and student development, however, the contradictions between the new curriculum structure system, the new role orientation of teachers, the new curriculum reform demands and teacher's knowledge and ability have become increasingly prominent. For teachers, the implementation of the New Curriculum Reform makes them face a more tremendous pressure and challenge. Therefore, putting the New Curriculum Reform as the breakthrough point, examining and analyzing the present situations and the characteristics of teacher's work stress and seeking the corresponding alleviation strategies become the main purpose of this study.This study takes the high school teachers' work stress questionnaire in the New Curriculum Reform which is designed by myself as a research tool, and exerts it to 610 high school teachers form seven middle schools in Shandong Province, and the conclusions are as below:1.In the New Curriculum Reform, teacher's work stress closes to middle level. There are several reasons causing teacher stress:school management, workload, parent involvement, teaching innovation, student factors and interpersonal relationships. Among them, teachers feel more stress in school management, workload, parent involvement and teaching innovation and feel less stress in student factors and interpersonal relationships.2. By analyzing teacher stress with different demographic characteristics, this study found that high school teachers' pressure under the New Curriculum Reform has the following characteristics:(1) Male teachers'stress level is significantly higher than female teachers in student factors, interpersonal relationships and the whole pressure aspect; (2) Teachers in different age groups have the remarkable differences in teaching innovation, interpersonal relationships and the overall pressure feeling. which,41-50 year-old teacher's pressure is high; (3) In workload dimension, the stress level of married teacher and class teacher is significantly higher than unmarried teacher and subject teacher; (4) There are significant differences between different title teachers in workload, teaching innovation, interpersonal relationships, student factors and the total score. Which, the senior title teacher's stress is significantly higher than the intermediate and the junior teacher; (5) Teacher's stress level of different class size in school administration, parental involvement, teaching innovation and the total pressure score is significant different; (6) The key high school teacher's stress in school management, workload, parent involvement, teaching innovation, student factors, interpersonal relationships and the whole stress feeling is higher than normal high school.Based upon the above study results, suggestions are proposed to educational department, school superintendent and high school teacher to help effectively alleviate the teacher's pressure, promote teacher's professional development and smooth implementation of the New Curriculum Reform.
