Work Stress Research Of High School Teachers Under The New Reform Of College Entrance Examination

The new reform of college entrance examination is paid more and more attention by social public,but the difficulties and stress of high school teachers encountered in this reform have not been given enough attention.Whether the reform can be carried out successfully is not inseparable from the positive work of teachers.This thesis explores the current situation and mitigation strategy of the teachers in Shanghai under the new reform of college entrance examination.Based on the literature review,a questionnaire has been revised with the background of the new reform?the characteristics of Shanghai high school teachers and the interview.And 495 teachers in seven model high schools were selected for investigation.The data was analyzed by factor analysis,t test,variance analysis,LSD multiple comparison,nonparametric test,correlation analysis and regression analysis.Major findings are concluded below:1.The high school teachers have great pressure.The average pressure index is 3.947.The pressures on workload,parental issues,student issues,social and family issues,teaching innovation and school management are between moderate and greater pressures.Among them,the pressure from the social and family dimensions is greatest,and the pressure in the student issues dimension is relatively minimal.2.After the implementation of the new reform,86.3%of the teachers think that the pressure is increases.The incomprehension of the new reform,the comprehensive quality evaluation system,the stratification teaching among classes and the guidance to students' selection are the main factors to increase the pressure on teachers.3.The stress vary significantly in different background variables:gender,age,seniority,educational background,positional title,grade,subject,whether to serve as a class adviser and working hours.The Research shows:Female teachers' pressure is greater than the male teachers.The teachers of the ages of 30-40 are the most stressful.Teachers of intermediate positional title felt the greatest pressure.The pressure of class adviser is higher than another teacher.The major subject teachers have the greatest pressure.The longer teachers work,the greater the pressure felt.The educational background,teaching age,teaching grade has little effect on the teacher's pressure.4.The teachers' stress concludes six dimensions:workload,parental issues,student issues,social and family issues,teaching innovation and school management.These dimensions and pressure index are significantly related.Analzed by stepwise regression,the regression is:Pressure index =0.519workload + 0.440 social and family issues + 0.152 school management+ 0.129 students issues + 0.277The equation shows:The workload,student issues,social and family issues and school management which have a good predictive effect on teachers' stress.The workload has the greatest influence on teachers' stress.Finally,this thesis puts forward the corresponding suggestions from three aspects:education department,school and individual teachers,so as to alleviate the work pressure of high school teachers under the new college entrance examination and promote the implementation of the new reform.The education department should improve the salary of teachers and create a good social environment.Second,provide appropriate support to teathers in the implementation of the new college entrance examination as much as possible and optimize teacher training to improve the overall quality of teachers.The school should reduce the workload of teachers,give they the dominant time.Second,optimize the management style,build a harmonious campus environment,and guide teachers to have a reasonable view of the new college entrance examination.Finally,the school should pay attention to the mental health of teachers,establish and improve the psychological counseling system.Teachers should re-examine the professional connotation of teachers,improve the enthusiasm of education.And continue learning to improve their overall quality.Then,teachers should learn to self-psychological adjustment,enhance the self-regulation on pressure.
