With the growing development of network technology and Virtual Reality technology, MMOG (Massively Multiplayer Online Games) has become one of the primary entertainments online in recent years. Although MMOG evolves several decades, the security problems peculiar to MMOG which named cheating has not been entirely solved up to date. Cheating not only impacts the fairness and decreases the playability of games, but also violate the benefits of the players and the game service providers. Therefore, the study of cheating problems in MMOG has significant academic meaning and actual meaning.The updated anti-cheating measures in MMOG are cheat-proofing protocol and cheat-detection algorithm. Cheat-proofing protocol is a kind of passive measures, the key is to prevent the occurrence of cheating. While cheat-detection detects cheating actively after cheating has been happened. These measures can solve some specific cheating, but the responsiveness and accuracy are not satisfying. After analyzing the problems and limitations of the existing cheat-detection methods, this dissertation mainly accomplishes those works as follows:1 Do taxonomy to the MMOG cheatingThis dissertation analyzes the existing cheat problems and reviews the existing cheat-detection methods in MMOG, more over, we discuss the advantages and disadvantages of them.2 Propose a Cheat-Detection Method Based on Fuzzy Synthesis Decision for Aimbot CheatingThis method is based on the theory of Fuzzy Synthesis Decision. Firstly, the decision set and the factor set that affect the cheating are determined. The factors weight vector which distinguishes the impact of different factors on the cheating is determined by Information Entropy. The membership function for each factor is given according to the factor feature, and then the factor decision matrix which links the factor set to the decision set is built according to the membership function. Finally, the value of player's cheating degree is calculated by Fuzzy Transformation. The simulation results show that the proposed method can detect the aimbot cheating effectively.3 Propose a Cheat-Detection Method Based on State Difference for Inconsistency CheatingThe cheat-detection is divided into two stages. In the first stage, the target is to detect the players with different state, it will be detected by calculating the difference of game state. Firstly, the game state attribute are quantified, Then the state difference is calculated by Euclidean distance, and the state difference is compared with the threshold to judge whether the game state of player is consistent or not. In the second stage, we use the method of comparing the Hash value of the old game packets to the inconsistent players for further detection. This method can effectively detect the inconsistency cheat, improve the security of the online games.The proposed algorithms are verified by simulation and achieved satisfactory results.
