Lightening the lessons burden of the students in middle school is key problem that the whole society concerns. Although our state has published documents about lightening the lessons burden of students in middle school continuously, the effect of resolving this problem is not desired. During a new round of lighting the lessons burden, in order to find a better solution to the issue, a rational reflection is required.This study attempts to survey the present situation of the lessons burden of the students in three junior middle schools in Jingzhou ,Hubei Province and the attitude and opinions of the junior school students and teachers about students'lessons burden ,finds out the performance of students'lessons burden, the factors which influence the students'lessons burden. This study shows that the lack of students'subjectivity is the root reason why lightening the lessons burden has received tiny effects.Students'subjectivity play a big role in their learning process. However, a large number of students'subjectivity are not play to the full. Stimulating students'learning motivation and helping them develop their subjectivity may be a good solution to lightening the lessons burden problem.
