The burden reduction of students in compulsory education has always been a hot issue of concern to all sectors of society since the founding of the People’s Republic of China.Both the government and the school have made efforts to alleviate the burden of students’ excessive academic work.The family also has deep expectations for this.The academic community has never stopped paying attention to students’ burden reduction,but the burden of schoolwork has been reduced for a long time.The phenonenon of more and more reduction and more and more intense,has produced a cycle of "reducing the burden within the school,increasing the burden outside the school","reducing the surface,and increasing the burden".Concerns and confirmation of the burden-reduction value of students clarify that each subject has the need to reduce the burden,but the shortage of high-quality compulsory education resources makes the subject also have the demand for "increasing the burden".The government’s successive reduction of burden-reduction policies is more to manage the burden-reduction needs of relevant entities from the "demand side",and to sole extent ignore the need for related parties to "increasing the burden".In recent years,although the problem of student burden reduction has been studied from the perspective of "supply side",there are few studies involved.This article is an in-depth discussion of this issue,trying to analyze the way out of the problem of students’ burden reduction in the compulsory education stage from the perspective of supply and demand.Based on the review of the existing literature,this paper determines the theoretical basis of this paper as public product theory and education fairness and justice theory,clarifies the product attributes and value orientation of compulsory education,and defines related core concepts.This article uses interviews to interview teachers,parents and students in the compulsory education stage,collect relevant information,and lay the foundation for the following analysis.Secondly,from the demand side of the burden reduction of students in the compulsory education stage,the current situation behind the burden reduction of relevant subjects is analyzed.After analyzing who needs to reduce the burden and why it needs to be reduced,the falily,the school and the government are clear about the contradictions of the needs of the various subjects.The family is trying to reduce the anxiety of not reducing the concentration.The school is reducing or not reducing the implementation.Reduce and not reduce the game in conflict.Thirdly,from the supply side of the burden reduction of students in the compulsory education stage,the supply status behind the burden reduction of relevant subjects is analyzed.This paper borrows the theoretical framework of educational economics to reveal the supply status behind the burden reduction of students in the compulsory education stage from the aspects of supply subject relationship,supply concept,actual provision ability,government coordination service quality and school operation level.Next,from the perspective of supply and demand,reveal the dilemma between supply and demand behind student burden reduction:the dilemma between the demand behind differential reduction and the supply behind homogenization and burden reduction;the need behind the urgent reduction of burden and the supply behind long-term burden reduction Dilemma;the dilemma between the demand behind high-level burden reduction and the supply behind insufficient burden reduction.Then it analyzes the causes of the dilemma between supply and demand from the perspectives of philosophy,history and society.It is the conflict between the value of tools and the value of ontology in the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.The establishment of the "key school" system,the fiscal decentralization reform and the tax-sharing reform,in traditional culture.The educational values that are alienated and the one-sided view of the quality of education.Finally,from the perspective of the government,schools and family subjects,the solution to the problem of reducing the burden of supply and demand for students in compulsory education is proposed.For the government,it is necessary to focus on both the demand side and the supply side;for schools,we must pay attention to the improvement of supply and service quality;for families,we must pay attention to the establishment and supply of educational concepts.
