Aiming at the emotional crisis that the contemporary society faces, especially many emotional status and problems in college students, and the ignorance of the emotional education of college students by higher education, this thesis explores and reflects on the emotional education of the contemporary college students from philosophical angle. These exploration and reflections contain the following aspects, such as essential characteristics, value, meaning, status, reason, recommendations of effective implementation in emotional education of college students, which mainly remind people of deeply caring about the emotional education of college students, and provide the theoretical basis for enhancing the efficiency of the emotional education, and develop a positive and useful role in realizing college students' complete life, and becoming a person who possesses with healthy personality and perfect quality.This thesis consists of six parts.Part one is the introduction of the thesis. It mainly introduces the reasons why I explore the problem of the emotional education of the contemporary college students, the literature review, ideas, methods and meaning of the research, and related notions used in this thesis. This part provides theoretical basis for the further research.Part two is related to the essential characteristics of the emotional education of college students. In order to quest its essential characteristics, this part first discusses the development of its history, and then, analyses some of its characteristics, and finally, locates the emotional education of college students in essence.Part three states the value of the emotional education of the contemporary college students. Value is an important philosophical concept and category. This part, at first, arrives intrinsic value and extrinsic value dating back to the concept of value, and subsequently, analyzes them presenting in the field of the emotional education of contemporary college students, and ultimately conducts a relatively comprehensive illumination on them.Part four analyzes the status of the emotional education of the contemporary college students, which includes a couple of aspects about the emotional education, for example its purpose, content, way, practice, teachers, students, and effects. This part conducts a comprehensive exposition about the status, and assesses the fact that executing emotional education is not optimism, and encourages people to attach importance to and complete the kind of education.Part five presents the reasons for causing the status of the emotional education of the contemporary college students. This part makes a comprehensive exposition of the reasons through discussing the college students themselves, the course of implementing higher education, and the transformation of society.Part six touches on the recommendations of effectively implementing the emotional education of the contemporary college students.Not only for better realizing its value and meaning, this part provides some suggestions and means, but also in order to make people take full advantage of and understand the emotional education of college students.
