Contemporary college students are the future and hope of the motherland. They also shoulder the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, However under the influence of the social transformation, diversity and global network, spoiling and the phenomenon of pay attention to knowledge and belittling emotion, the students appear many problems. These problems seriously affect the college students’ physical and mental health and overall development and need to be solved in the emotional aspects. Therefore, researching the contemporary college students’ emotional problems, exploring the reasons for their problems and emphasizing the importance of emotional education have very important significance in solving the emotional problems of college students.In this paper, the theoretical research and investigation of college students’emotional problems find that college students have many emotional problems. For example, the emotional detachment between the virtual space and realistic existence of emotion, the strong sense of loneliness, the weaker ability of inherit the emotional setback and the lonely feelings. These college students’ emotional problems are caused by students themselves’ physical and mental factors, emotional bias caused by changes in family life, imperfect emotional education, the impact of network technology on the emotional and social unhealthy culture. To solve the problems of contemporary college students’emotional need we grasp the principles of emotional education of college students and follow the contents of emotion education. We need combine educators with education environment to give full play to the advantages of modern network technology in college students’emotional education. This will form an education resultant force.This paperis divided into six parts. The first partmainly introduces the current domestic and foreign scholars’ definition of emotion. And on this basis, we investigate the relationship between mood and emotion. In addition, we study the emotion related theory, and then analyze the emotional characteristics of contemporary college students. The second part is objective to explore the contemporary col lege students’ emotional status through the questionnaire analysis. And this part talks about how to tackle college students’ emotional problems from three aspects of emotional confusion,interpersonal communication and ability to cope with the emotional problems. The fourth part, based on the results of the survey and causes analysis, puts forward the principles of emotional education of college students and points out the emotional content of education. The fifth part from students, educators, educational environment and modern network technology in four areas proposes to solve the problems of college students’ suggestions and measures. Part VI summarizes the contents of this paper to explain research findings and indicates the direction of innovation and inadequate research presented later.
