Emotions are an integral part of human development, also an important basis for human foothold in society and overall development.Nowadays, more and more people have a wealth of material life, spiritual life is constantly enrich. Emotional education not only can promote social stability, but also have effects on guiding people’s behavior norms in life. College students are the national talents in the future and the hope of the motherland. The same is true emotion education of college students. Colleges and universities put more and more attention on it. It also has an great influence on the implementation of students’ ideological and political education and the training of their emotional quality and healthy personality. The paper explores the theoretical basis of college students’emotional education, at the same time; it focuses on analysis of the current situation of college students’ emotional education and emotional problems and causes. For the existence of these problems, we try to find the best way to measure emotional education and implementation. So, it has a reference value.The whole paper is divided into three sections to discuss the students’ educational research.The first part is to define the college students’ emotional education theory. It explains the meaning of the emotion, the emotional education and the college students’ emotional education, analyzes the contents and characteristics of college students’ emotional education and the significance of college students’ emotional education.The second part analyzes the current situation of college students’ emotional education. It has a comprehensive analysis of the college students’ emotional education achievements made so far and problems. The reasons come to the question are as follows:the lack of theoretical research of the college students’ emotional education; educators’ emotional literacy is not high; utilitarianism that students themselves exist; family emotional education is not in place and so on.The third part discusses the principles and measures to strengthen the college students’ emotional education. Its correct implementation needs to follow certain principles. It focuses on measures to strengthen college students’emotional education. So that, college students can make a positive emotional experience. This part is from school, social and personal aspects to elaborate the role of emotional education’s force.In short, the paper discourses the problem of the existing status quo of the college students’ emotional education, analyzes the causes and expounds the principles to strengthen college students’ emotional education. These principles are people-oriented principle, the principle of combining emotion and reason, the principle of gradual and orderly progress and motivation principle. Through correctly using the appropriate educational supports to stimulate the students’ appeal, using the Internet to broaden the way of emotional education, enriching the emotional education’s courses and content, carrying out social practice about emotional education, improving the literacy of emotional educators and forming the four-forces of emotional education and so on. At last, that could promote the healthy emotional development of students, develop their independent personality and improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education.
