The school-based teaching and research was noticed and explored as early as the 1960s-1970s by the educationist in America and some other European countries. The school-based teaching and research has been regarded as the important project in the educational development and reform to be researched. The development of the school-based teaching and research has been paid much attention to by the education bureau and other research institute.The school to which the author belongs started the school-based teaching and research in 2002. Some problems appeared in the activities, such as: the environment and atmosphere is not good enough for its development. More tasks but fewer further researches exist in most of the activities. Focus on the exam and the way to develop the teaching and research is dull. These problems are a key element to deter the further development of the teachers and the school.Only through the analysis and research on the present condition of the school-based teaching and research, can we find the improvement strategy, solve the problems in the practical teaching, heighten the teachers'ability on education and teaching and promote the continuous development of the school. Therefore, we raise the project-- The present condition and improvement strategy on the school-based teaching and research in the primary middle-school.The graduation thesis summarized the current situation of the school-based teaching and research and pointed out the implication, features, elements, function and basic organization model of the school-based teaching and research. Based on the current situation of the school-based teaching and research in author's school, analyze the achievement and the existing problems to find out the cause for the problems. For the further improvement strategy, the survey method and interview survey and so on have been used. The data now on hand on the school-based teaching and research have been collected and fined. Questionnaire Survey and analysis have been used to all the teachers, investigation and analysis to the typical teachers and individual interview to the teacher.According to the investigation and analysis on the school-based teaching and research, we found out the several following problem:The role of the teaching and research team whose basic function is to teach and research playing on the teaching and research weakens gradually.There are phenomena of teaching without research and teaching less research in the teaching and research activities. Lack the reorganization of problem and communication and dialogue. The teachers lack the really cooperation learning.The form of the teaching and research is dull and single, mainly exchange activities among the teams and open classes, then discuss and value them and soon.Lassitude psychology and conformity psychology appeared among the teachers.Through the analysis on the cause of these problems, the main causes for the problems are the followings:The school-based teaching and research became a mere formality because the teachers didn't pay enough attention to it.The overload of the teachers became the barrier of the development of the school-based teaching and research.The key element that the theory instruction lacked in the school-based teaching and research restricted the development of the school-based teaching and research.The imperfection of the assessment system affected the further development of the school-based teaching and research.The strategies to solve the problems in the development are raised in the thesis based on the combination of the researching, investigating and analyzing materials.Strategy 1: Effective system of the school-based teaching and research shall be set up in the school.Strategy 2: Effective teaching and research formation themed Profession leading, coworkers help each other, self-thinking shall be formed.Strategy 3: Daily teaching and research shall be combined with theme teaching and research.Strategy 4: Lay the stress of the school-based teaching and research on the teaching method and the learning methodStrategy 5: The modern information technology shall be used as the effective carrier of the school-based teaching and research.
