School-based teaching and research refers to the teaching and research activities that rely on the school’s own resources,take the practical problems in school’s education and teaching as the research object,and involve the teachers.Compared with the traditional teaching and research form,school-based teaching and research has the characteristics of participants autonomy,content practicality,process flexibility and implementation pertinence.To carry out school-based teaching and research is of great significance for boosting the reform of teaching and research mechanism,promoting the professional development of teachers and deepening the reform of basic education.Through the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire investigation and interview,I did the survey on teachers and headmasters in 17 urban area primary schools,Y city to know the present situation and the problems of conducting school-based teaching and research.I find that primary school teachers approve of the value of the school-based teaching and research and participate it actively.But the form and content of school-based teaching and research is relatively simple.It is not attractive enough for teachers,and the effect of teaching and research needs to be improved.The main reasons for the existence of these problems are the lack of understanding for teachers on teaching and research activities,the unclear orientation of the objectives of teaching and research activities,and the imperfect system construction and guarantee mechanism.To further improve the school-based teaching and research in primary schools,we should strengthen teachers’ role of teaching and research,improve the form and content of teaching and research,enhance the effectiveness of knowledge management,and establish and perfect support and guarantee measures.
