Writing teaching is an important content of Chinese teaching in senior schools,students’ writing ability is an organic part of Chinese literacy of high school students,but writing teaching is also recognized as the difficulty in the senior school language teaching. The author taught in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Gansu province. As the differences in natural and humanistic environment, Chinese education concept, method, and students conditions, writing teaching in senior school of minority areas faced greater difficulties. To know the real situation in ethnic minority areas in high school writing teaching,discover the existing problems and put forward some targeted improvement strategies, are the urgent requirement to my own teaching practice and it is also my thesis writing direct motivation.On the basis of read relevant literature, I designed a survey instrument with questionnaires as the tool to know the present situation of the main content of the thesis teaching, the investigation was carried on in Zhouqu County in S senior school, on the basis of investigation and material analyses. The author carding the problems high school writing teaching in ethnic minority areas from the aspects of the school, teachers and students, analyzed the causes of these problems, try to put forward practical strategies to improve the teaching of writing in senior school of minority areas. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part is the introduction, mainly introduces the research background, purpose, significance, ideas and methods, combs the relevant research literature; in the second part introduces the analyses of the investigation and the purpose, ideas, processes, results, and the results of the survey are analyzed in Zhouqu County in S senior school composition teaching based on the problems; the third part, some improvement strategies were put forward in view of problems existed in composition teaching of S senior school.I provide six improvement strategies according to the problems found in the investigation and analyses, combined with the actual S senior school teaching work,there are respectively follows: first, to stimulate interest, make students like writing;second, to pay attention to the accumulation, increasing the stock of knowledge; third,to teach students in accordance with their aptitude, a variety of writing; forth, read with writing, making full use of curriculum resources; fifth, the organization of effective composition teaching; sixth, improve the efficiency of composition correction. I hope that these strategies can promote the composition teaching in S senior school.
