The new high school curriculum innovation is one of the most influential and propounding innovations since the new China was founded .But for the teachers , who are the main participants to carry out the new curriculum innovation, they don't truly understand the purpose of the designers of the new curriculum .It really concerns whether the teachers think it necessary , identify the new curriculum rationale and whether willing to adapt to the new curriculum by adjusting their former behaviors .In consequence, it does make a difference for carrying out the new curriculum innovation to know about the present conditions how the teachers identify the new curriculum innovation and solve the problems effectively. Under the circumstances, the thesis researches the basic conditions how the mathematics teachers of high school in Changchun City, Jilin province, identify the new mathematics curriculum in the form of questionnaires and individual interviews. The research is involved in ten key middle schools of Changchun .There are 200 questionnaires, 191 taken back including 186 valid copies. The interviews involve various schools, grades and sexes, also twenty women and men teachers included.According to the statistics, the thesis analyzes the present conditions how the high school mathematics teachers identify the new curriculum in four ways: curriculum goals, curriculum rationale, uniform curriculum and curriculum implementation. Also it tries to find out the factors including age differences, schools differences, and the familiarities with the new curriculum as well as the design of the new curriculum and so on. On the other hand, the thesis puts forward to some suggestions: the teachers should be familiar with both the new and the old curriculum, communicate more with each other, attend more effective training courses and become the real participants of the new curriculum.
