Physical concept is the most important part of physics, it constitutes the basic elements of physical knowledge. Physical concept teaching as a key link in the physics course education, its importance is more and more prominent; the effectiveness of physical concept teaching is directly impacting on the comprehension of physical laws, physical methods acquisition and ability training. Optimizing the concept of high school physics teaching is based on the idea of new curriculum, in order to analyze the problems that exist in the concept of high school physics teaching and propose to find operational strategies to solve the problems.This article consists of four parts to optimize the concept of high school physics teaching: The first part is a quote. It introduces the background, the purpose and significance of the research; discusses the domestic and abroad situation about optimizing the physical concept, points out the ideas and methods of the research. The second part is the theoretical analysis. The research is based on humanistic theory, constructivist theory as the basis of psychology; instructional system and cybernetic theory of teaching as optimization theory. It defines the concepts of physics; analyzes optimizing teaching and described the characteristics of physical concepts under the guidance of the new physics curriculum. The third part is the survey of high school physical concepts teaching. The method of the survey is questionnaires, questionnaire is designed on the process of concept teaching and the purpose of the survey is to study the implementation situation of the new curriculum ideas in actual classroom teaching, to learn about the current problems that exist in the concept of high school physics teaching. Finally, we analyze the questionnaire, discuss the results of the survey and come to a conclusion. The fourth part is the optimum strategies of high school physical concept teaching. This part is based on the concept of new curriculum, the characteristics of teaching and requirements, according to the current problems of concept teaching, to propose optimum strategy, analyze and demonstrate with examples.
