The Guiding-Thinking and Inquiring Method is the excelent mathod which Zhang Xiong Fei in Xi'an normal university obtained with great concentration last for twenty years. The"Guiding"means teaching with skill and patience, it reflects or embodies the guiding function of the teacher. The"Thinking"means thinking independently, it reflects the main position of students. Applying this method, the students take part in teaching course by their five sense organs. They can obtain knowledge, prompt ability, exercise temper willpower so that they can obtain knowledge, develope ability, cultivate moral character, and develope all-roundly.The paper is the result to apply the Guiding-Thinking and Inquiring Method into senior chemistry classroom teaching. It's a experience summary about the method is applied in the classroom teaching by references analysis, investigation, experiment research. In BaoTou TianJiaBing Senior Middle School, the traditional teaching mode must be substituted by the new scientific theory to cultivate students' ability, prompt students' quality, achieve good results. The method demands that the teachers should be the guide of students in class. They should choose practical forms which are both lively and individual. They create the best teaching situation together with the students, build a psychology atmosphere in which feeling are blended with circumstances. So they make the students try to do, to see, to read, to talk, to listen, to write and to think over as an explorer and a scholar. They will take part in all kinds of teaching activities independently and absorbedly. They can study with interest, conquer difficulties with pleasure, comprehend knowledge with their experience, and they obtain success with great hope. Teachers use this method in their chemistry teaching, try to develop the students' capability, cultivate moral character, make the method used in the real teaching course. The result indicate that the study interest is increased, the study method and habit is changed, the relationship of teachers and students are harmonized, the education quality is improved widely, obtained by BaoTou TianJiaBing Senior Middle School.
