This study adopts the narrative research methods。Two post-graduates, one male has three years of work experience and one female has seven years of work experience, who took part in graduate school entrance exams after the resignation underwent in-depth interviews to narrate their life stories for this inquiry. The purpose of this research is to understand, within their existential contexts, interviewees'career views and how they follow their self-identities to develop life visions and life strategies. This research also deals with the career choices and adjusting processes while the post-graduates decided to resign and continue going to school. The findings are as follows:Though the two post-graduates have different life visions, these visions do share some common aspects. They all believe that knowledge can change fate and pursue the free, successful, happy life,。They all want good colleague relationships and sufficient finances and also they all want the jobs to be compatible with their interests and capabilities, satisfy altruism and fulfill the needs for not only achievement but also self-value. Other than those, they both hope that post-graduate qualification will help to realize their personal vision of life. They both carried out self-exploration in their work, but the results after their thinking are mostly:"I don't know what I want", "I can't have what I want" or "I have it now but it's neither my self-identity nor my vision value". In order to achieve the desired vision to meet the self-worth, they chose the resignation and the postgraduate education. Graduate school experience is a gas station that they move towards an ideal direction in life.In the face of grim realities employment situation of post-graduate, the two post-graduates are more optimistic, good at regulating themselves and accept their own postgraduate education choice, so they can enjoy the advantages of this choice and feel quite satisfied with their own post-graduate life. The two graduate students have a step change in decision-making methods. In school days, they both accepted and followed the views of their parents or other important persons. With age and more understanding to personal and environmental message, the autonomy of the two graduate students increased. They are more able to make decision following their own ideas and form the main decision-making style-"things as walking to see". While making decisions at different stages, they would likely be based on four ways that are rational analysis, intuitive feelings, significant others, the environment opportunity. They are not limited to take the one of the four decision-making methods, but mostly do a comprehensive assessment of the information provided by different decision-making methods and then make a clear decision. They face the inevitable setbacks and challenges during school and work, They can take a compromise, and cognitive adaptation strategies, select the most acceptable alternative and explain rough positively, be optimistic about future. This career adjusting process is the re-constructing process of career view. There are two specific ways to re-construct career view:First, According to the new experience, modify the self-identity that is not congruent. The self-identity will lead to new visions and manifest new strategies to achieve the visions. The second is to adopt a new strategy (for example, restrictions and compromise) and find the vision that the value of it is not been aware of and then form a new identity. The six influential factors on career view formation process are self-identity, social and culture,1 realities of the environment, interactive experience of others, personal conditions and resources, and important events. The researcher, at the end of the study, states the contribution, restriction and personal reflection of this research narrative. The researcher also gives suggestions about how to develop future study narrative.
