The aging teachers of rural primary schools are the main force of education throughout their teaching stage in rural areas. Even if at present, they are still the major force in many places. This paper aims to explore and discuss the problems related to the aging teachers from two major aspects. Firstly, through field studies, it shows their professional career in a narrative approach. It demonstrates their professional characteristics at different stages. Secondly, it reflects the problems of their careers and career management. Due to historical reasons, their professional careers are quite different from other teachers. In this paper, the characteristics of their careers are showed through the narrative study of aging teachers. Meanwhile, the author puts forward some career management problems. It mainly concludes the following aspects:1. The aging teachers'early career developing process is a "trial and error" one. They grow up with gradual accumulation of experience;2. In capacity-building period, they led a full life, but they ignored the teachers'professional development of the career;3. For a long time, most of the aging teachers had a "private teacher" status. In 1990s, it transformed into "public teacher". After that, they hold different professional attitudes;4. Having gone through several different times, the aging teachers felt the changes in social ideas. They have been affected from many other specific aspects;5. Their developments haven't been thoroughly changed from the full-time training;6. The influence on the aging teachers from the reform. In the aging teachers'career, the social develops rapidly and the reform happens frequently. Reforms draw them away from the city teachers. The gap appears in their consciousness, then influences their career growth.In response to these problems, this paper carries out an analysis of target. There are many reasons for these problems. In this paper, two aspects are considered:Aging teachers' careers are lack of career guidance; Strengthening career management is a key to the development of teachers; The rural education reform should adapt to the rural situation and reality, especially in the aspect of practical measures. At the same time, we also believe that the lessons and deficiencies learned from the aging teachers in education management can have a positive meaning.
