Currently, the second curriculum education reform are comprehensively advancing, the requirements of quality education are increasing, especially of the quality teachers. Confronting the new situation, new tasks and new demands, Shanghai General Education system launched teacher training project, and'the Famous Teacher's Studio'is an important part of the teacher training project, which sets up good platform of for the construction of primary school teachers, key teachers training and improving, which has positive impact in the radiation of teacher resources and promotes the balanced development of regional education, thus generating more core teachers. To better understand the new curriculum reform as well as provide a research perspective for professional development for teachers, this paper investigates and studies the life sciences teacher workshops activities in Shanghai's high school, which will have positive significance for seeking an effective way of promoting teaches'professional development.Though literature study, questionnaire, interview, case tracking and other methods of mathematical statistics, the paper mainly investigates and studies life sciences teacher workshops activities in Shanghai's high school. According to the literature review, analysis of the domestic and international situation of biological teacher and professional development, the author interviewed Shanghai Municipal and some district-level teaching and research staff, life science teacher studio heads, young and Middle-aged key teachers, conducted questionnaire survey including covering the history of Shanghai life science teacher workshops and organizational forms, teacher studio's members information, and teacher workshop activities situation and results on some members.The study comes to the following conclusions:first, the Life Science teacher workshop activities have made good progress, because the Life Science teacher studio is established and managed by a special education Administration, there is a clear guideline, training objective, approach, learning requirement, etc., and there is a strict organization, management, application, plan and assessment procedures, there are specific contents, frequencies, and models; secondly, the activities in teachers teaching studio are not only helpful in teacher's teaching activities, but in teacher's studying and guiding capacity; thirdly, the activities in teacher workshops have created certain stresses on members, the biggest of which is to do research.Considering the conclusions, the paper makes some suggestions:first, studio teacher required for a more flexible, diverse and fulfilling activities; secondly, the common problems in teaching practice needs to be solved, and teaching capability has to be improved; thirdly, the balanced development of regional education should be noticed; moreover, the construction of teacher studio's quality resources should be speed up; lastly, the teacher workshops' conduction and running should be further regulated.
