| Cultivation of reserve talents is the base of sustainable development of competitive sports. Cultivation of reserve talents is a very important part in keeping prosperity and sustainable development of Chinese competitive sports. As a strong city of competitive sports, the cultivation of reserve talents of Beijing is also important. So the paper researches and analyzes the 2005-2008 cultivation work of reserve talents of Beijing based on literature research, expert interview, field research, mathematical statistics and logical analysis.The main conclusions of this research are as follows:1, the number of reserve talents is generally on a declining curve, in some sports shrinking phenomenon happens; 2, the structure of reserve talents shows an irregular pyramid shape, the tower footing is oversized but the tower body and tower head are almost vertical; 3, the supply number and supply rate of Beijing reserve talents are both in the front rank nationwide, but the efficiency is low in terms of athletes supply to first team.4, about the education levels of reserve talents, Technical secondary school and above level education backgrounds is small, senior high school and below take a large portion.5, the ratio between the second team coaches and the third team coaches is imbalanced, there is a severe shortage of second team coaches; 6,about the structure of coaches'education level, high education coaches'portion is large, medium education coaches'portion is moderate and low education coaches'portion is small.7, the structure of technical titles of coaches of Beijing shows a typical pyramid shape, senior and intermediate coaches take a small portion and junior coaches'portion is too big.8, the general arrangement of competitive sports is imbalanced, the distribution of athletes and coaches in basic sports, sports of advantage and sports of potential advantage is not proper.9, Expenses sources of amateur training of Beijing are very limited and multiple fund raising mechanism has not build up yet. Based on the above conclusions of cultivation of reserve talents of Beijing, the following recommendations are made:1.Internal excavates talented person and external introducing talents to expand sports team; Improve quality and change training mode to increase the talent transmission rate; Deepen and implement the operation of combining sports with education, bring up all-round talents.2. Strive for the opportunity of training; strengthen the academic standards construction and exchange between coaches; improve competitive and incentive mechanism; keep on introducing advanced coaches to build a high-level coaches team.3.stress key sports and sports of advantage, achieve a scientific layout of sports; strengthen the reserve talents storage of the key sports and sports of advantage; ensure the funds of sports arrangement; 4.Sports department keep on strive for financial support; the cooperation with sports schools carry out in part marketization pattern to improve the hematopoietic function; keep on generate revenue of sports schools. improve and perfect the reserve talents cultivation system and operation mechanism. Reform the competition system, give full scope to the action of a lever; improve register,conveying and the competition qualification confirmation system, establish incentive mechanism and come out relative guarantee measures towards athlete.
