With the advent of global economic integration and knowledge-based economy, human resources have become the key factor for any business to gain a competitive advantage. And corporate training program, as one essential part of human resource management, is playing a more and more important role in the strategic business development of the enterprises. However, many enterprises only attach importance to the content of training but neglect one key step, training effectiveness evaluation. Because of the lack of correct and reasonable assessment and judgment about the training effectiveness, the purpose and the role of the training, more often than not, have not been truly understood, which resulting in the impairment of its improvement and the sustainable influence.Training effect evaluation is an important task to judge the value of training. From the view of the composition of the training system, training effectiveness evaluation is its essential part. As the inherent relationship of the training system concerned, training effectiveness evaluation is the ultimate test to the purpose of training and the constructive source to provide useful information for the future training program. On the managerial aspect, training effectiveness evaluation, especially the quantified evaluation, is an effective management tool. More importantly, it is playing a crucial role in the long-term development and the strategic objectives achievement of the enterprises. In China, training effectiveness evaluation is extremely poorly developed both in theory and in practice at present. How to conduct effective training effectiveness evaluation and how to solve the existing problems have become the important but tough work for the corporate management and the key function for the human resource departments.The paper is divided into four parts as following.The first part is introduction, including research background and significance, literature review, theoretical basis and method, and definition of the related concepts.The second part is the deep analysis of the problems of training effectiveness evaluation of Chinese enterprises and the correspondent causes.The third part focuses on the case study of the advanced experience of Y Company in Shaanxi. On the basis of the deep analysis of the training effectiveness evaluation practice of the company and the summary of its successful and advanced experience, the constructive solution to the problems of training effectiveness evaluation existing in Chinese enterprises has been put forward and a new perspective for the Training Effectiveness Evaluation study has been proposed andIn the fourth part, based on the Kirkpatrick evaluation model, combined with successful experience in Y Company, a solution method of how to strengthen our corporate training effectiveness evaluation is brought forward. That is to won the support of the upper-level executives, to formulate evaluation systems and scientific processes to ensure its successful implementation, to use an appropriate comprehensive assessment method and to expanded sources of assessment of information with scientific analysis.
