A Research On Social Worker For The Unemployment

The report of the 16th National Party Congress has definitely proposed three perspectives. First, employment is people's livelihood. Second, now and in future the expansion of employment is a significant and difficult task. Third, realizing relatively full employment is an important goal of building a well-off society. The report of the 17th CPC National Party Congress further stressed that the employment is a main task. This task is to improving social construction focusing on people's livelihood. It will be seen from this that unemployment problem has drew the Party and Government's attention. In the process of social transformation, industrial restructuring and market-oriented reforms inevitably produced a large number of the employment population. They are not only facing employment problem, but also other problems such as basic livelihood, psychological problem, self-upgrading the skills, legal problem, aged-supporting, housing problem and education for his child. Therefore, based on the "person-in-situation" theory and the empowerment theory, to study the problem of social worker giving service to unemployment is not only of great theoretical value, but also great practical significance.Based on the "person-in-situation" theory and the empowerment theory, this study analyses the status about services for unemployment, and the relationship between "community resources", "professional accomplishment of social worker", "government input", "social identity on social worker" and "the content and quality of services" comprehensively, systematically and deeply. It takes the way of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis and, having done systematically survey on the unemployment and social workers. In this study, there are tow basic assumptions:"community resources", "professional accomplishment of social worker", "government input" and "social identity on social worker" has influence on "the content of services"; "community resources", "professional accomplishment of social worker", "government input" and "social identity on social worker" has influence on "the quality of services".Empirical results show that:"community resources", "professional accomplishment of social worker", "government input" have a significantly affect on "the content of services"; "professional accomplishment of social worker" has a significantly affect on "the attitude of services"; "community resources", "professional accomplishment of social worker", "government input", "social identity on social worker" have a significantly affect on "the impact of services"。In all, the assumption 1 and the assumption 2 in this study are partially confirmed.
