The psychological pressure of the teachers in primary and high schools is a hot issue in the world, and it is also one of the problems easily causing much public concern. In this thesis, we choose the psychological pressure situation of the teachers in primary and high schools of Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong as the main line. We drew a broad overall and specific view that the teachers in this district are withstood much psychological pressure by building on the anonymous questionnaire and interview survey. A close analysis of the intensity of the psychological pressure of the teachers in primary and high schools is related to the teachers'sex, marriage, educational qualifications, length of teaching, subjects, duties and so on. From this regression analysis, we tried to find out the specific sources which has caused the teachers in Shunde to withstand so much psychological pressure and try to offer some advice about relieving the psychological pressure situation of the teachers in primary and high schools of Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong in order to improve the teachers'psychological quality and working efficiency. Furthermore, we want to provide the basis for the local educational administrative department to make suitable economic and educational policies so that it may promote sustainable development of local economy and education.This thesis is composed of 4 major parts.Part One, which is an introduction, fixes the theme of this study, and defines its scope and research methods, including questionnaires and interviews. In addition, this part sorts out and classifies the relevant existing references, thus providing a knowledge basis for research.Part Two takes the teachers in primary and high schools of Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong as an example. By means of a variety of methods, including questionnaires and interviews, and analyzes the overall condition of psychological pressure in this area in two ways-total and partial.Part Three analyzes the various factors affecting the psychological pressure. Hyperbaric work load, the student management, management practices from the schools and the local educational administrative department, assessment and testing, professional rank appraisal and appointment system, vocational ability and ego-development, interpersonal relationship, family, economy and public opinions are the main factors affecting the psychological pressure of the teachers in primary and high schools of Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong.And Part Four offers a number of counter-measures concerning the relieving of the psychological pressure according to the various factors affecting the psychological pressure.
