| Pressure is a common characteristic of modern life, which catches the attention all over the world. There are five causes which make that problem more serious: globalization of capital and communication, fast development of information technology, change of the form of economic industry, economic crisis and the change in morality and science. The problem of pressure exists among teachers as well. Being a teacher, he has been entrusted more serious requirement and special profession meaning by himself and the whole society. With the development of education reform and specialization of teachers, the pressure on teachers is more and more obvious in china. In those poor rural areas inhabited by the ethnic minorities, the teachers there feel more pressure: the pressure of students entering higher school, intensity of working and high expectation from the society. In this thesis, the author focuses on the state of existence of teachers, the origin of teacher pressure and tactics of relieving it. This study takes Liushao Village as a case for these three reasons: (i) it is the epitome of the poverty-stricken minority villages in Yunnan, (ii) the preliminary project has offered fundaments for this study, and (iii) the author cares much about the teacher's communities in these villages.There are four sections in this thesis:In the first section, the author gives reasons for choosing this subject (period background, the development of education and my reasons), states all the studies on teachers' pressure, and then gives a concept to it.
