Students never walk in the classroom with empty mind. The Stage Theory of Cognitive Development put forward by Piaget and Bruner, the Assimilation Theories from Ausubel and the student-centered education philosophy promoted by the new National Curriculum Standard all demonstrate that it is of great importance to comprehend students'preparation stage before class.How do Junior Two students prepare for Physics, as a newly taken science course for them? And how much influence does primary school years of learning science exert on students? This paper mainly focuses on the pre-study preparation stage of junior high school students.The survey in this paper is based on Emotional Preparation and Knowledge Preparation . The survey on Emotion Preparation emphasizes on the status quo of primary school science course, for instance, the attitude held by students who are on the way to learn physics, and whether it's possible to have the sense of anxiety in term of different gender. While Knowledge Preparation , which based on science, researches on aware of physical terms , knowing the meaning of physical terms (or knowing physical propositions ) and understanding physical terms in order to have an overview of students'preparation for different learning sectors, like sound, light, heat, force and electric.This paper, which based on questionnaire, analyses the acquired data and proposes related teaching suggestions according to the final conclusion.
