| Today,the USA is an educational superpower in the world and education in the USA advances rapidly on the road to the democratization of education and scientific education,and its education widely attracts worldwide attention,it is one of the countries which have the most developed and advanced education system.Adult education in the USA develops well and is advanced,too,it has diverse school system.It has all types of schools at all levels,which provide a comprehensive"overpass"type of adult education system in order to meet the requirements of adult education through a variety of ways.This article attempts to explore safeguard mechanism and specific paths of the construction of"overpass"of adult education in the USA and has some references for the development of adult education in China.This dissertation introduces some ideas of"overpass"of adult education in the history of the USA and some theories about adult education.This dissertation generalizes the basic safeguard mechanism of the constructing of"overpass"of adult education in the USA ,which mainly includes three aspects:(a) Perfect of the adult education laws and regulations;(b) A sound management system;(c) Implementation of a variety of adult education institutions.This dissertation explores the paths to construct "overpass" of adult education,which include:(a) Open enrollment; (b) Low tuition ;(c) Flexible and diverse ways of education and teaching ;(d) Implementation of credit transfer.This dissertation evaluates the construction of"overpass"of adult education in the USA,pointing out its advantages and disadvantages.This dissertation expounds the implication which the constructing of"overpass"of adult education in the USA brings for the"overpass"of adult education in China.We should pay attention to adult education legislation,establish an effective management system for adult education,multi-channel to run adult education and strengthen adult education and teaching reform.
