A Retrospect And Prospect Of Research On Adult Learning Mentalitv In A Learning Society

At the beginning of the century,our courtry advocate the philosophy of "learning society".Adult is the most important group of the education for all people and the life-long education,therefore,the research on adult learning mentality becomes the hot spots naturally.This study analyzes those studies of adult learning mentality which have rapid developed since this century,thus to prospect its future research and development tendency,in order to provide a reference for its long-term development.In terms of research methods,this study used the information visualization-CiteSpace to perform an integrated analysis upon the collected data.CiteSpace is a Information visualization tools developed by Dr.Chen from colloge of information science and technology,Drexel university,USA.This software is designed in Java language and based on citation analysis theory,which has become the most unique and influential one all across America.Firstly,this study collects the literature data source in CNKI between 2000-2017,and to analyze this datas through the CiteSpace software,with drawing the visualization map of the research on adult learning mentality,for showing the core agency,the representative,the research hot spots and so on.It showed the knowledge structure and the evolution law of the research on adult learning mentality.Secondly,through a combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis,the research on adult learning mentality focus on thoes seven topics below:the learning society,adult learning theory,adult learning motivation,adult learning cognitive development,adult learning strategies,adults learning about mental disorders,and adult learning assessment.Thirdly,through analysis,the research on adult learning mentality exists five problems,they are:study dimensions is simple,study spaces is narrow,the theory is innovative,the team strength is scarcity.Lastly,through full-view scan,outlooking the research on adult learning mentality from three points:the research field,the research group,and the research paradigm.For the field,the adult learning mentality in company,community and mobile-learning need to be noticed.For the group,the adult learning mentality of old people,new generation migrant workers need to be noticed.And for the paradigm,it need to notice the transdisciplinarity with brain science,philosophy,sociology and management.
