Australia is one of the countries whose higher vocational education developed early and made outstanding achievements after World War II. Its technique and further educational (TAFE) mode has been learned and imitated by the world more and more. As the cooperation and communication in the region of economy and education become more and more between China and Australia, we have gradually referred and used the experience of TAFE college school system in our higher vocational education. The researching goal of this article is aimed at studying more about TAFE College which is major Australian vocational education and training unit, so as to get some reference and guidance for the processing and developing of Chinese higher vocational education.The main content of the text is as follows:The first part, introduction, mainly explains the necessity and importance of the higher vocational education study, defines related concepts, provides theoretical basis for further study and introduces research method this study has taken according to the overview of existing related research results in China.The second part, through the way of historical analysis and experience summary, it summed up the reasons for the rise of TAFE college, its development process and strategic position in Australian vocational education and training system.The third part, summed up the goal of Australian TAFE College in general. TAFE College has carried out vocational education and training under the guidance of purposes which is the principle of life long education, adapt to the industry and need and training students'job competence. The fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh parts are the key point of this study. The text uses four chapters to analyze each aspects of Australian TAFE school system. From the aspects of curriculum design, teaching and training system, management system and teachers, they introduced and analyzed features of TAFE college.Among them, the fourth part is analysis to curriculum design of TAFE college. It first introduced meaning of TAFE college courses, then introduced the development of TAFE is based on training package and summarized and analyzed its content, status, details and features, pointing out that curriculum design of TAFE College is according to jobs and market, which involves all the industry. Curriculum design aims to train students'employability through vocational education and training.The fifth part is analysis to TAFE college education and training system. This part separately introduces the features and advantages of four typical education and training mode, which are virtual internship company, project teaching, school and enterprise joined training, industry training. It makes a conclusion through analysis to above four modes that education and training of TAFE college is based on the aim of cultivating students'professional ability. Through ability teaching and training, it makes students have practical ability the job needs and can adapt the development of market and industry.The sixth part is analysis to college management system. From government, vocation, TAFE College these three parts, it mainly introduces their own action and function in management system. Under great support of government, macro-control, direct and total participating of industry, and multi-aspects of management mode which includes Human Resources, administration, teaching quality and students management, TAFE college has shaped a effective management system which is inside & out and effected by the three sides.The seventh part is analysis to teachers building in TAFE College. This part mainly introduces how TAFE College builds double-teach teachers for school teachers through three aspects which are structure of TAFE College teachers, highlighting feature of double-teaching system, standard teacher testing and training system.The eighth part points that we should put forward to countermeasures and suggestions through the following aspects: referring the successful experience of Australian TAFE college school system, combine with our national conditions, against problems in our higher vocational education, perfect related laws of our national higher vocational education, enhance financial support to higher vocational education, build frame system of national qualify certificate, enhance practice teaching, make sure the efficiency of practice base, enhance building and management of double-teaching teachers, tight combination of industry and vocational school, directly participating all the way, combination of industry and study.
