Australia’s vocational education through a long-term exploration and practice, hasformed a relatively perfect system and distinct features.TAFE established thecombination of internal and external quality assurance system to ensure that the qualityof higher vocational education,and play a important role in the country’s economicdevelopment and social progress.Based on a comprehensive analysis and research oninternal assurance factors (government and industry) and external quality assurancefactors (TAFE College). Summarizes its successful way, explore its application tovocational education in china.The paper firstly traces on the development of TAFE College in Australia on thebasis of its strategic position. It could analyses the Australia TAFE of quality guaranteesystem with the examples of TAFE College in RMIT University from three aspectsincluding:government, industry and TAFE colleges. Then introduced the government‘smethods to ensure the TAFE College quality including: laws, relevant institutions, AQTFand funding. Industry participation in decision-making and management, participate inteacher team construction, curriculum development and teaching implementation,funding support and quality assessment of TAFE College to ensure VET’s quality. TheTAFE Colleges has curriculum, teachers, teaching, student employment and evaluation tobuild the assurance system of themselves.Through the analysis of quality assurance system in TAFE, the paper summed upthree features: the management operation mechanism under the industry’s leading,efficient financial mechanism, market-oriented operation mechanism, improves theunified authentication mechanism. The vocational education in china should establish thecombination of internal and external quality assurance system. The external qualityassurance mainly including the concept of life-long education idea, and improving thevocational education laws and regulations, establishing diversified financing system,perfecting the vocational education system; internal quality assurance measures including: improving the curriculum system, enriching the teaching team and perfecting theevaluation system of VET.
