Research On The Integrity Of College Student's Ideological And Political Education And Career Planning Education

Under the background of higher education changing from elite education to mass education, the employment problem becomes a social concern. Especially after the financial crisis, the employment problem has been regarded as important as the national economy and the people's livelihood in the eyes of the whole nation. However, solving the employment problem of college students' is a very complicated social engineering, which requires not only the dissolution of all kinds of contradictions, but also the exertion of people's initiatives, especially the sustainable development and all-around improvement of college students. Hence, universities are expected to carry out the education on career planning in a deep-going way when they are further strengthening and improving ideological and political education of college students.As two important means of improving college students'comprehensive qualities and abilities and promoting the full employment of college students and sustainable development of their career, ideological and political education and career planning education have strong connection. On one hand the present education on career planning in China only focuses on giving students clear personal goals and direction and improving their professional qualities and abilities but with lack of ideological and moral cultivation. On the other hand, ideological and political education emphasizes the cultivating and shaping of students'view of life, values and view of live but without enough direction and effectiveness. The author holds that the integrity of ideological and political education and career planning education can remedy the regret mentioned above. Since the integration can not only provide a new perspective for ideological and political education in universities and put the education into effect, but also guide the college students to design their career properly which is expected to bridge the gap between social requirements for qualities of college students and the employment needs of college students.The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part analyzes the problems and factors of college students' ideological and political education in terms of traditional education ideas, education contents, methods and education carrier. The second part concentrates on introducing the connotation of the career planning education in our country and makes an in-depth analysis of the exposed shortcomings in our present education. The third puts forward the necessity and feasibility of the integrity of the two kinds of education from perspectives of the ideological and political education and career planning education separately. The fourth part focuses on the ways and the carrier of the integrity of ideological and political education and career planning education. During the research the author finds that the ideological and political education and career planning education have much interconnectedness and complementarities in working target, education contents, practice process and so on. And the integrity of the two kinds of education meets the requirements of the harmonious development of the society, the cultivation of qualified students and the needs of college students' full employment. To fulfill the integrity of ideological and political education and career planning education, much effort should be put into the construction of the approaches and carriers. Universities are expected to start with the improvement of management and teaching and the construction of teaching staff and education carrier and make the ideological and political education and career planning education penetrate into each other.
