Along with the development of social information, information literacy is increasingly becoming an integral part of civic literacy in information society. At present, all countries attach great importance to the development of information technology education and training with high quality talent based on information literacy is a new request proposed to the personal training goal in the information era.In China, because of various reasons, students have different levels in information technology, especially students in ordinary high schools. If the differences are ignored and we still use the unified schedule and requirements, it will make students who study well eat too little and who study worse eat too more. Therefore differences between students are increased further. In order to consider individual differences between students in a class and to arouse students'enthusiasm and enhance the teaching effect, this paper proposes the stratified group teaching.This thesis traces the stratified group teaching development track and theoretical support from historical perspective, and from the teaching situation of information technology in ordinary high schools, analyzes the existence of individual differences of students, the drawbacks of traditional teaching to elaborate the necessity of adopting the stratified group teaching in ordinary high schools. By questionary survey, papers test, individual interviews, I learn the Grade 1 students'information technology foundation and basic skill, study interest and study style before the experiment. Then according to students'different type, I carry on the student stratification and target stratification in the experimental class and then stratified group teaching. While in the comparison class, the traditional teaching method is used. In the end, the relevant data during the experiment are collected and the impacts on the students'information technology learning enthusiasm, initiative as well as academic record after using the stratified group teaching are analyzed.Through contrast experiment, I have carried on the statistical analysis to the teaching process and the results. Finally it's obvious that stratified group teaching can arouse the students'enthusiasm and initiative, and effectively improve the quality of classroom teaching and students'achievement, in line with the spirit of quality education and the new curriculum concept. It is worthwhile to further promote the stratified group teaching.
